Haltian: presense

The Haltian Thingsee PRESENCE sensor is a low-power, wireless occupancy detection device leveraging passive infrared (PIR) technology. Key technical specifications include:

  • PIR Sensor:

    • Detects changes in infrared radiation emitted by occupants.

    • Provides binary occupancy state (occupied/unoccupied).

  • Wireless Connectivity:

    • Employs Wirepas Mesh network protocol for robust and scalable communication. Sensors automatically create and optimise their mesh network.

    • Distance between sensor nodes from nearest other sensor or gateway 10-15m.

    • Operates in the 2.4 GHz ISM band.

    • Requires 1 gateway per 100 sensors. Gateway needs to have within reach of at least one sensor in sensor mesh network.

  • Power Source:

    • Battery-powered, designed for extended operational lifespan.

      • 2x AAA batteries

    • Low-power consumption for prolonged battery longevity.

  • Data Transmission:

    • Real-time occupancy data transmission over the wireless mesh network.

    • Configurable reporting intervals.

  • Environmental Specifications:

    • Designed for indoor environments.

    • Operating temperature range specified in the product documentation.

  • Mounting:

    • Designed for easy surface mounting with double sided tape.

    • Battery replacement without screws or remounting required

  • Data output:

    • Reports occupancy state.
